Clear Lake's Premier Gutter Team

The water map explains most of what we spec. Clear Creek drains a large multi-county watershed into Clear Lake, which opens directly into Galveston Bay, while Armand Bayou and Horsepen Bayou carry neighborhood runoff on the north and east sides. The terrain is flat coastal clay that absorbs almost nothing once saturated, and much of the area sits inside mapped surge and floodplain zones — Harvey in 2017 showed how quickly the creeks back up. On lots like these, gutters are the first line of foundation and fascia defense: we hold precise pitch on every run and route downspout discharge at least six feet from the slab, using extensions or pop-up emitters where grading is marginal.

Salt is the second driver. We use thicker-gauge baked-enamel aluminum and stainless or coated fasteners on all Clear Lake jobs to push expected lifespan past 25 years, versus the 10-12 years coastal homes typically get from builder-grade mill-finish systems. Waterfront homes in Nassau Bay, El Lago, and Taylor Lake Village often carry fascia board damage from prior water intrusion, and that has to be corrected during gutter replacement, not after — remounting new gutters on soft wood guarantees a callback. Hurricane wind load also means hidden hangers go in tighter than the standard 24-inch spacing.

Tree cover rounds out the maintenance picture. The live oaks planted when these subdivisions were built are now fully mature, and live oaks shed on a spring schedule — old leaves plus fine pollen tassels from roughly February through April — that slips straight through cheap screen guards. Micro-mesh is the only guard style we've seen keep oak catkins out reliably. For unguarded systems near the water we recommend twice-yearly cleanings plus a freshwater rinse of the gutter finish, and an inspection after any named storm, since wind-lifted sections fail quietly until the next downpour finds them.
